CanadaPetCare March Sale 2022

New Year is about to begin and in no time people will be counting down. We all set some resolutions for the New Year rolling in. Although our furry friends do not set such goals, we may need to take things in hand and decide some resolutions for them too. These resolutions may help you to set new routines which may be more healthy and beneficial for your pets. If you have not thought about setting some, here are a few ideas that may help your pets in getting healthier.

1. Get Your Pet’s Weight Right

Around 50% of the pets in USA are obese and come under the overweight tag. Make it a point to manage your pet’s weight by feeding him the right food and giving him plenty of exercise.

2. Go For An Adventure Trip With Your Pet

This should be on your list if you have never tried it before. Hiking, skijoring, kayaking, etc. are some of the outdoor sports you should try in 2022. If not all, try going for a hike with your pooch and bond in the nature’s lap.

3. Plan Your Play Time With Your Pets

Whatsoever the reason was this year, make sure you plan out your work and social life in such a way that you spend some time playing with your pet at least 4 times a week. This may improve your pet’s health and give you a better chance to bond with your furry pal.

4. Take An Appointment For Yearly Vet Examination

The year has come to an end and it’s time to have a thorough look into your pet’s health. Do not forget to get an appointment with your vet for yearly examination of your pawed friends. Make sure you get his teeth, paws, internal system, status of heartworm and intestinal worms checked.

5. Add Grooming To Your Daily Task

Daily grooming should be in your daily task list as it helps your canines in a lot of ways. It maintains the texture of your pet’s skin and coat, and removes excess fur from the body. It also helps in distributing oils from the skin to fur making the coat healthier and shinier.

6. Try Not To Skip Oral Hygiene This Year

We all know how important oral hygiene is and how we avoid it due to our laziness. Isn’t it? However this year we need to change it for our pet’s wellness. Make it a point to brush your canine’s or feline’s teeth with pet toothpaste and use oral mouth wash for better oral hygiene.

7. New Trick For New Year

We all love it when our pets execute a new trick successfully and make us proud. Teach a new trick like switching on/off the lights, etc. this coming year for his mental stimulation and fun. Buy new puzzles as it is the best way to stir your pet’s mental health and to keep him engaged.

8. Get Your Pet Micro-chipped

If you have already done this, you are a star. But, if not then it’s time to get your pet micro chipped. Losing a pet is very hurtful and getting him back is rare. Micro chipping is the only way to increase your chances of getting your lost pet back. Update your contact info on collar id tags and in micro chips if you have already done it.

# Foster A New Pet

There are thousands of animals in shelters waiting for their permanent home. If you are in a dilemma of getting another pet then fostering a pet may help you in taking that decision. Volunteer for giving temporary shelter to a new pet till he receives a permanent shelter to make him feel loved and precious.

These are some of the most needed reforms in your pet’s life in the coming year. Try to accomplish all of the above resolutions to give a happy and healthy life to your fur babies. Happy New Year!
